How to deal with haters
Haters exist everywhere and will pull you down every time. Dealing with haters can get confusing as they are a drain on your time and emotional energy. You can choose one of the extremes to go all out and attack them or you could just choose to ignore them. For most of us a path in between would work the best to handle the negativity and criticism you receive.
Be real
Know your haters
Fuel up on the hate
Have some fun at the expense of your haters
Your response to your haters
Your response to yourself
Haters will hate, they don’t know anything better. You have to do what you are doing and keep getting better at your stuff
Be real
- Introspect
- Be truthful to yourself
- If you deserve the criticism and hate, then you deserve it
- Stop the damage you have done, apologize, make things better for the other party
- Caution - don’t become a victim and start accepting yourself as wrong if you are not in the wrong
Know your haters
- Know who your haters are
- Understand the motivations of your haters
- Haters are competitors - they would be happy to see you get pulled down
- Haters are spectators - they are not doing anything their life, but you are doing something about your life makes them something
- Haters are nobody - Hate of those who are not an important part of your life
Fuel up on the hate
- You must do something good to trigger their envy and jealousy
- You must do something brave to trigger insecurities and fears about themselves
- Through your endeavors you are making the uncomfortable by showing them their lack of doing, failures and inadequacies
- Do they dislike you or they dislike the fact you are able to do stuff which they are unable to do?
- Their hate should be the fuel to drive you further
- You should want their hate even more
Have some fun at the expense of your haters
- Act as if you are really impacted by criticism you receive.
- The haters will love to see the spectacle of you getting pulled down, while you know that you are taking them for a ride
- Is it not great to know that you by living your own life are able to press the hot buttons of your competitors
Your response to your haters
- Competitors - Play mind games with them, appear weak but be confident internally
- Spectators - Change those who are in around you. You need to be around people doing stuff. You don’t need people twiddling their thumbs and spreading negativity for you.
- Nobody - Ignore them. Shut them out. Wear earphones so that your ears don’t get to hear the noise they create
Your response to yourself
- Be aware – You can be your biggest hater – you have your insecurities the way the spectators have their insecurities
- Believe in yourself
- Don’t stop doing the right things
- Have confidence in yourself
- A thick skin won’t harm
Haters will hate, they don’t know anything better. You have to do what you are doing and keep getting better at your stuff
